About Apple Acres
Tucked into the Kentish countryside near Tonbridge, Apple Acres is an adults-only site that draws regulars back for its peaceful atmosphere and well-kept facilities. Pitches are spacious and level, each with a picnic table, and the shower blocks earn consistent praise for being spotlessly maintained. Electricity runs on a pay-as-you-go meter, keeping costs reasonable, while the rural setting offers views across the Weald without feeling remote—local buses stop nearby and a couple of pubs are within easy reach.
Dogs are welcome to join you, and WiFi keeps you connected if needed. The vibe is quiet and relaxed, ideal if you're after a straightforward break away from family sites, though facilities are fairly basic with no chemical disposal point on-site. A solid, no-fuss choice for couples and solo travellers exploring Kent.

What visitors say
We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Apple Acres! The campsite is kept beautifully with plenty of space around you. Facilities are immaculate with good showers and plenty of space for drying! It is very reasonably priced and electricity is paid for on a meter which is a much fairer way of paying. It is in a lovely location, not far to walk to a bus stop with plenty to do and see. Lovely walk to a pub Vauxhall Inn The owners are a lovely family and could not be more helpful who went the extra mile for us when we needed it We look forward to returning one day soon Julie and Vern Cornwall

We’ve just experienced 2 nights in our campervan at Apple Acres ❤️. Michelle was very approachable and helpful. She was really hands on, keeping the grass beautifully cut and the toilet/shower facilities were spotless. We enjoyed meeting the goats, who were extremely friendly and enjoyed a walk round the field and through the pretty orchard. Not to mention a lovely walk to The Vauxhall Inn 🍺🍷 Thank you, we will definitely be back to pick some apples.

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay and would definitely return. We're no experts at this so can really only give our own findings as opposed to many comparisons. Firstly, we personally love the fact this is adults only (just our own preference). We arrived to a lovely welcome from Robert, I do love the dry humour 😊 Security of the site is taken seriously which is great, access through a pin coded gate which is provided at reception. I believe there are approximately 10 hard standings all with electric hook ups, each having plenty of space so would never feel on top of each other. I had a bit of a dread of the toilets/showers after a recent not so great experience elsewhere but needn't have worried here as the offerings were perfectly adequate. 2 showers with plenty of pressure and a little area to dry and change, 3 sinks and 2 toilets... all super clean so I was more than happy using the facilities which was a relief 😊 Pot washing station outside as you enter the shower block, if I had any suggestions at all... perhaps could benefit from another sink as some people seem to like to spend quite a bit of time doing their dishes☺ The site itself is really rather lovely, yes there are aeroplanes overhead and a little road noise but nothing particularly imposing and that's also nothing the owners can control so for me, if this is a gripe... I'd suggest researching the area more thoroughly rather than moaning on a review as I've seen on others. If you're very lucky you may actually catch a glimpse of the spitfire roaring overhead, for us that's a real treat😃 There's nothing not to love really, plenty of lush green grass for our wee white doggy, an abundance of apple trees with a beautiful sunrise in the morning if you're an early bird. Robert and Bernie were lovely warm hosts who were available if needed but you would hardly know they're there 😊 We definitely know where we'll be staying on our next visit down South, looking forward to it already. Thank You ever so much😊

We were welcomed at the gate by Bernie and Rob showed us a choice of hard standing pitches all large and level. Picnic benches and table on each pitch. The shower and toilet facilities were very clean and the information boards were very useful for planning visits off site. Electricity is on a meter so you only pay for what you use. A lovely peaceful site, will definitely stay again.
