Mark and Sharon gave us such a warm welcome. Room was very clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for fresh milk everyday. Room refreshed everyday if required. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, Marks poached eggs are the best, nothing was to much trouble. We would definitely stay again and recommend Melba House to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful guest house! As part of my life I stay in guest houses and hotels at least 6 months of every year and my experience at Melba House was a good as any. Sharon and Mark, the proprietors are the nicest people; the accommodations and common areas are a delight. My bed (including the sumptuous pillows and crisp linen) was of the most comfortable which I can remember - I slept 9 hours straight! Breakfast was a treat and then, as a lovely touch, Sharon dispatches you with a bag of goodies to sustain one until the next location. Sharon and Mark you are the epitome of perfect hosts; you can be so proud of your wonderful establishment which is located in a prime position in Torquay.

The attention to detail at Melba House is unsurpassed. Mark and Sharon are so attentive. Rooms are superb, showers are strong and beds really comfortable. Breakfast is a treat and Mark has to be the "King of Eggs", no matter how you like them, he'll perfect them. Some great local advice of where to go, what to see and also what to avoid, was appreciated. Melba House will not disappoint.
