Threshing is a converted barn on the Hartland Holiday Barns site near Woolsery, set across 2½ acres of undeveloped grounds. The whole property is yours alone. Dogs stay free—the owners welcome up to two small or medium-sized dogs and manage the land specifically to encourage wildlife, with hedgerows, owl boxes, and bat boxes dotted around. This suits couples who want to bring a pet and explore on foot; the coastal villages of Hartland and Clovelly are a short drive away, with broader beaches further into Cornwall.
Everything is on the ground floor. The open-plan living space has a smart TV and Bluetooth speaker; the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with an electric oven, hob and dishwasher. One double bedroom and an ensuite with a shower cubicle complete the layout. Heating comes from an air source heat pump, and essentials like bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. There's a small seating area outside, bike storage, and parking for one car. A washing machine is available in the shared utility room, and you can use the barbecue area and herb garden that serve all three barns on site. No smoking inside.
The owners run an organic vegetable plot and keep chickens next door, adding to the rural atmosphere. Walking routes thread across the meadows, and the setting suits anyone looking to step back from everyday life without sacrificing modern comfort.

If you are looking for peace and quiet or a secluded retreat, this will tick your boxes. With the owners' house, there are 3 small accommodations built into a converted stable block. There is under floor heating, great views and quiet surroundings. Be aware if you own a low car, the drive to the Barns is very rural - on a single track road and will scrape if you are in a low car or are not careful in a regular height vehicle. Other than that the place is gorgeous, totally quiet at night, no road noise at all and great night skies with very little light pollution. We stayed for 6 nights and there is plenty to do around, local town is 2 miles away and has a great pub restaurant with an equally great takeaway attached. The accommodation really is finished to a very high standard, and the owners are lovely, you can tell a lot of care has been put into the place. So we'd recommend without a doubt, just be prepared for how rural it is, and enjoy!
