High Park House

High Park House works for extended families, groups of friends and multi-generational gatherings—anywhere from 16 people needing proper space to spread out. The Victorian property, built in 1845, sits on 14 acres of private grounds near High Park Barns. Seven bedrooms split between two floors include five with en-suites; the remaining two share a family bathroom. Bed configurations range from an emperor through super king and double options to singles, so sleeping arrangements can be tailored to whoever's coming.

The ground floor is built for group living. Two separate living rooms, each with woodburner and Smart TV, mean different parts of the group can do their own thing, while a formal dining room and large kitchen with breakfast bar handle mealtimes and cooking together. There's a games room with pool table, utility rooms with laundry facilities, and a boot room for muddy arrivals. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

The real draw is the leisure setup: an indoor heated swimming pool (10m × 5m, depths from 1m to 1.5m) sits in the grounds alongside a hot tub, shower and changing facilities. A barbecue in the front garden extends options for eating out. One dog is welcome. The grounds contain an unfenced lake and a step in the garden, both worth knowing about if you're visiting with young children. Parking covers four cars.
