Knotty Corner Cottage is a thatched property sleeping five, tucked away on a quiet lane a mile from Bideford in Torridge. The whole place is yours alone. Ground floor has a living room with a 42-inch TV and a separate dining room; the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking with electric oven, hob, Rayburn and dishwasher, plus a breakfast area. There is a shower room on this level. Upstairs, the three bedrooms range from a double to two singles, with one double and one single having their own TV. A bathroom with a corner bath and over-shower serves the upper floor, along with an ensuite to the principal bedroom.

What makes this cottage distinct is the games room beside the house, furnished with a table tennis table and a projector screen for watching films. The large garden has a gas barbecue and patio furniture for outdoor meals. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. The property has parking for four cars and a bike store. You are ten yards from a fenced pond in the owners' grounds, and four steps lead down to the garden; a travel cot and two highchairs are available on request. No smoking throughout. A mile from Bideford's port, restaurants and shops, the cottage sits within easy reach of the North Devon coast and small villages like Clovelly and Hartland.

Just spent a wonderful week at the beautiful knotty corner cottage. We were very comfortable as everything you could wish for was provided. Friendly owners live next door and are on hand if required. Very clean, it was home from home and situated in a quiet relaxing spot. The garden was beautiful with a lovely covered sitting area. We made the most of the sun and put the chairs on the lawn. We will be back as it is in good area for seeing this part of Devon.

Lovely, recently refurbished cottage, real home from home. Very friendly hosts, who live nearby. Lovely, generous welcome pack on arrival with tea, coffee, milk, shortbread and duck eggs. In a peaceful location yet near to amenities such as an Asda supermarket. Very clean and probably the best equipped cottage we've ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything, including, for example, towels for the beach. The games room is an excellent bonus. Highly recommend this cottage.

This was a lovely, warm and clean cottage with all the usual facilities available and the owners were lovely. Internet a little slow but usable. Close to facilities in Bideford, but far enough away to be in the countryside. No issues with road noise from the A39 in the cottage, which was something we'd worried about. Lots to do in the area and slightly further afield.
