Mole Hall is an 18th-century barn conversion, its thatch and period bones intact but the interior thoroughly modernised. The property sits in open Devon countryside with far-reaching rural views from many of its rooms, yet Bideford and its amenities are only twenty minutes away by car. You'll have the entire place to yourselves—six bedrooms across two floors, four bathrooms, and space for eleven guests.
The ground floor contains a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a breakfast bar, utility space, and three bedrooms with ensuite facilities. Upstairs, a galleried living room with a woodburner opens onto a kitchen-dining area with French doors to the garden; three more bedrooms and another bathroom complete this floor. Outside, there's an enclosed lawn with patio seating, a private hot tub for six, and fishing in the on-site lake. You can park four cars in the grounds. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included; logs for the woodburner come with the booking.
The property suits large groups and extended families. One dog stays free. North Devon's attractions—gardens, walking trails, coastal routes—are within easy reach. Note that there is a lake in the grounds.

Just come back from a wonderful stay at Mole Hall. The cottage is lovely, very spacious, in excellent condition and very comfortable. The spa pool is great at the end of a long day out and about and the fishing lakes are really good (even though I didn’t catch anything 😟). Highly recommended.

An amazing week away!! We have just returned from such a lovely week away. We had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us which included bubbly in the fridge, free range eggs from the owner's chickens, jam, butter and bread which was a really thoughtful touch. The house is is beautiful and extremely clean. All of the amenities are there, including kitchen appliances and washing machine/dryer. After a few minutes looking around the house, we realised how quiet it was! The views from the house and back garden are fantastic. The back garden is enclosed so perfect for us to allow our 18 month old to roam the garden without the worry he would wonder off. The hot tub is great and there's a great play area for children. It was lovely to have walks around the lakes and the bbq area is next to the lake with picnic benches. We were lucky enough to have great weather, but there was a lovely snug upstairs with stairgates so the children could be left to watch one of the many dvds or netflix if the weather wasn't so good. We enjoyed a couple of days at the beach and cycled along the Tarka Trail from Puffin Billy (about 10 minute drive from Mole Hall) to Bideford. We had bikes, but one of our friends hired a bike and trailer. The children had great fun riding the route and had lunch and an ice cream in Bideford before riding back along the flat trail. RHS Rosemoor was a lovely day out. They had a Jurassic Dinosaur Discovery which included workshops and dinosaurs to find around the gardens. One evening we left the children with family and went to a lovely restaurant in Bideford called Number Eight. The food was exceptional and the service was superb. Definitely go if you can. We can't recommend Mole Hall enough. Thank you for such a lovely time and will be booking for next year very soon!!
