Town Mills – Riverside is a four-bedroom cottage sleeping eight, part of a converted mill complex on the River Torridge near Great Torrington. Ground floor rooms open directly onto verandas: a living and dining space with woodburner and French doors, a kitchen fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine, and two bedrooms—one double with ensuite spa bath, one with twin singles. Upstairs holds two more bedrooms, a double and another twin. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Guests have use of the three-acre grounds, which include a play area, sitting spaces and garden furniture. An indoor heated swimming pool (12ft by 33ft, with changing facilities) is shared with other properties, though private sessions can be arranged. A games room on site has a pool table, table football and darts. Parking is ample and on site. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One well-behaved pet stays free. The river is securely fenced. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
The location works for families wanting countryside space with access to the North Devon coast and Exmoor nearby. Great Torrington lies just beyond the grounds, with the Tarka Trail within reach for walking and cycling.

stay Town mills was a lovely comfortable base for exploring north devon. Skiir was spotless and everything was provided. My son and I enjoyed the games room which we used daily. The pool was an added bonus. Will hopefully return soon

We had a fantastic family stay at Town Mills. The cottage was very spacious and comfortable, and it genuinely had everything we needed for a longer stay. The house stayed cosy and warm, and it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful at night. We really enjoyed having access to the pool and games room, which were great additions to our stay. The location is also ideal; the town is close by, making it very easy to explore the area and enjoy days out. On top of that, communication was excellent, and any questions we had were answered quickly. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily recommend it. Thank you!

Location was gorgeous, surrounded by forests, water, and birds.. We rented Tarka, as we were a large family coming together for a birthday, age ranging from 2 to 80 years old. The place was large and had enough rooms for everyone, nice 2 ensuite doubles, with tvs, the rest were twin rooms. All had luxury bedding, we all agreed we slept so well there. The host Jonathan was lovely, and brought us milk, orange juice and cookies, which was so kind. There was a lovely heated pool, very large, and we had great fun in there, you can book slots so that you have some privacy. There's also a games room, which we didn't use... too busy having a party, and eating and drinking, having fun together. Had a lovely bank holiday weekend, just what we were looking for! I would recommend this place for larger families! There were 9 of us..

We hired the cottage for its location and excellent indoor swimming pool. We were not disappointed. The cottage was very reasonably priced and this was a reflection of the new owners gradually updating the accommodation. Everything was sparklingly clean, with high quality bedlinen, towels and comfy beds. The WiFi was the best we've found in the area and smart TV was great. Little touches like fresh milk, orange juice and cookies, an excellent induction hob and views of the river made it a lovely week.
