About Ardmair Point Caravan & Camping Park

Ardmair Point occupies a small peninsula on Loch Kanaird, three miles north of Ullapool, with the isolated sea stack of Rubha Coigeach and the Summer Isles visible across the water. The setting – right on a curving shingle beach with hills rising steeply behind – is regularly rated among the most scenic on this stretch of coast, and it's a longstanding favourite for repeat visitors touring the North Coast 500. Grass and hardstanding pitches suit tents, tourers and motorhomes, while facilities include two shower blocks, a coffee shop, campsite shop and launderette.

The beach frontage makes it popular for kayaking, sea fishing and beachcombing, and dogs are welcome throughout. Some visitors note the facilities can feel a little tired in places, but the location more than compensates. By sitting just outside Ullapool rather than in town, Ardmair trades walking distance for a quieter, more open setting with direct beach access, while remaining a five-minute drive from shops, restaurants and the ferry terminal. It gets busy in July and August, so advance booking is worthwhile.

Ardmair Point is a wonderful holiday park with spectacular views. You can walk around the whole site as well as along the pebble beach and the views over the sea & mountains are truly captivating. I've been coming here for over 10 years & I love it. It is so peaceful with stunning scenery - even in awful weather! There are self catering chalets/lodges as well as the campsite which accommodates caravans, motor homes & tents. The onsite facilities (showers, laundry, etc) are very clean & well maintained & the shop is well stocked with a bit of everything you might need. The coffee/cake shop has a decent selection & offers some dairy/gluten free options too. The staff are lovely & will help with anything they can. This is one spot on the NC500 you do not want to miss.

Great little camping stop. Excellent showers and washer/dryer. No communal area if weather is bad but people with tents hung out in the cafe or laundry where they have free phone charging lockers. Beautiful views of inlet.

I love this campsite. We've been before and we'll be back again. Lovely and peaceful the toilets are very clean and the staff are very friendly. There's all the other usual facilities and a little cafe, but we've not tried that. The site is right beside the shore with a stunning view of the hills. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Ardmair Point. The pitches right along the beach front give you the most incredible, uninterrupted views of the bay — the kind you just don’t forget. It’s quiet, clean, and well run. The facilities are good, and the on‑site shop is excellent, with far more choice than you’d expect from a small shop. The coffee shop inside is a real highlight too, serving genuinely great coffee, cakes, and croissants. A beautiful spot and a campsite we’d happily return to.
