Badrallach sits on the north shore of Little Loch Broom on the remote Scoraig peninsula, reached by a single-track road off the A832, and is regularly cited as one of the most peaceful and picturesque campsites in Scotland. The open field and a scattering of more sheltered, hidden pitches sit right above the shore, with views across the loch to An Teallach and the surrounding hills. Red deer, pine martens and golden eagles are regularly spotted from the site, and visitors often remark on the serenity and sense of genuine escape.
Facilities are deliberately simple: a mix of non-electric and electric grass pitches, basic showers and toilets, and a small gas-lit bothy available to rent alongside a self-catering cottage. There's no shop, no pool and limited mobile signal—very much part of the appeal for those seeking a remote stay well away from the busier North Coast 500 stopping points. The site can feel spartan, especially out of season, but for many that's exactly the draw.
The narrow approach along Little Loch Broom favours campers and smaller campervans over large touring caravans, and Ullapool's shops, restaurants and ferry are a manageable drive when needed. Dogs are welcome, and the site is open year-round.

Absolutely fantastic campsite. First up the location - completely out the way with sensational views plus access to the shoreline of little loch broom. It is remote but you can get to ullapool within 50 minutes which has everything you need supplies wise. The campsite itself is beautifully laid out with designated pitches which all have their own fire pits. There is space for lots more pitvhes but it is kept to a limited amount which really adds to the remote feel. The pitches are well mown grass with a hard track to them so no issues with bogginess. Second the facilities - the toilets were kept perfectly clean, and the shower cubicles are awesome with high pressure and warm water. There is also a bothy which campers can use when not booked. Thirdly was the hosting. Communication was great via text whilst there and the day of arrival. But most props go to Chris himself for being such a friendly host to us and our dog, even giving us his tent to use as ours was leaking! Overall we met some great people here, and had a great time. We can't recommend it enough. We also can't wait to return but I think i'll opt for the bothy or cottage next time😀

We stayed in the bothy, which had charging and plenty of space, for a great price (£12.50pp). The toilets and showers were clean. Amazing views from the campsite, overlooking the sea and mountains across the bay. We weren't sent the code for the entry gate, which would have been an issue had another camper not been there to let us in. The site is extremely remote, accessible only by one road. CYCLISTS BE WARNED: both the route in and out requires a huge ascent, of about 4km with sections up to 18% gradient. Other than that and the midges, I have no complaints from the campsite - if the hills in and out aren't a concern, i recommend 10/10.

Our favourite campsite that we have experienced in Scotland so far! Beautiful, serene and cosy. Full of many interesting people, so had many wonderful interactions with other campers. The pitches are on a slight slope, so do bring levelling blocks if in a campervan or root tent. The owners dog was running free in the campsite (or at least we believe it was the owners dog - no one we spoke to was too sure)! A lovely collie who just wanted a stick thrown, however this did cause us a few issues as we were travelling with a nervous dog which needs space, so having the other dog appear every now and again wasn’t ideal for us.

It's a bothy, with real toilets. Great location, if a little out of the way (it's meant to be that way.) Uncomplicated, great stove, nice wee kitchen area, campsite adjacent, some comfy seats and plenty of basic sleeping area if that's really all you're after. Perfect if you've got transport and heading for example to An Teallach.
