Port a Bhaigh Campsite

We've just completed the NC500 and stopped at 8 fantastic camp sites. However, Port a Bhaigh was by far our favourite. Upon arriving we received a warm welcome from the lady in reception who ensured that we enjoyed our stay. We decided to make use of the site laundry facility but unfortunately we encountered a hiccup, whereby the wash stopped mid-cycle. Upon reporting this the site owner, Rosa, couldn't have been more helpful. Not only did she reimburse us, but also, very kindly, carried out our laundry wash in her own washing machine. Excellent customer service. Aside from that, the views from our motor home pitch were incredible. The facilities were spotless, the little shop was well stocked and the beach walks were superb. In the evening we decided to visit Am Fuaran bar for our dinner. The staff were super friendly and the steak pie and langoustine were some of the best we've had. Well worth a visit. Needless to say that we'd highly recommend staying at Port a Bhaigh, we'll definitely visit again when we return.

I recently visited this campsite. Positives. The site has plenty of space around the pitches. Lovely views over the water with easy access to the beach. Fresh water. Drive over waiste and two indoor chemical disposal points. Very clean and tidy toilets and showers you don't have to pay for. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The household waiste disposal is in a skip just inside the campsite entrance. All what you would expect from a £35 person night campsite. Now the negative. On the highest level which is where I was allocated. There was a lovely view over the site and the sea. Around me was what looked like someone's full time residence. And Possibly workers. There were a couple of other caravans which looked like thery were dumped there. An old car which had been partly dismantled. There were some companies storage containers which they came a number of times a day. One day with some sort of digger. Lifting a large motorised lawn mower with no respect for health and safety. If you are going to put your customers up here, a large discount should be given. Had I not been allocated this spot. I probably wouldn't have noticed it was there. But twice a day morning and evening two dogs owned by a worker or owner roamed around the site unaccompanied and obviously allowed to do what they wanted Overall a lovely place spoilt by putting 3 pitches amongst a scrapyard.

Little surprise stop off, was wild camping and fishing with my son, came across this site and thought "why not" for last night... VERY good decision! Wonderful clean site, really well laid out, location is simply amazing! Only dealt with one member of staff, he was great, really friendly and helpful. Shop is shockingly well stocked, might not have your favourite specific item but there is nothing you will go without, cleaning products, snacks, fresh veg, herbs and spices, meats and breads, nothing stupidly priced at all, very reasonable. The facilities are spot on, plenty of toilets and showers for size of site, and very clean... washers and dryers available too, as well as really decent wash up area and chemical toilet disposal. Maybe a "smallish" site but it IS far out, and everything about it really is fantastic! 10/10, will probably be back some day!

Stunning Location & Superb Service! ​Port A Bhaigh is absolutely beautiful and situated in one of the most amazing spots in Scotland. The views are breathtaking, but it’s the people that make it truly special. ​The team is extremely friendly, and you can tell the owner genuinely cares about every guest's experience.
