What visitors say
The Shore nails that sweet spot between being remotely tucked away and still having everything you need (or have forgotten!). The all‑day shop is brilliant (fresh rolls in the morning is a bonus) and the Fish & Chip Shop in the evening is a great backup if you’re not in the mood to cook. And, you’re literally a few metres from the beach. Absolutely recommend it!

Site has a stunning beach nearby and was perfectly fine for us in tents, although we did have to clear a spot of animal droppings where we wanted to pitch up. Facilities are fairly basic but do the job. Well-stocked shop on site and chippy for an easy hot meal, which was needed as it was peeing it down when we got settled and there’s no dedicated sheltered area for cooking with a camp stove. Although the battered sausage was quite wet. Worth going for a dip if weather permits and heading up to find hermit’s castle, strange wee spot.

Camped here in June 2026 and was a highlight of our NC500 tour. The site is clean and tidy and has the benefit of its own fish and chip shop. Their deep fried Chilli Haggis burgers are amazing! It has immediate access to two of the best beaches in Scotland, which because of its location, were very quiet. Bring a wetsuit and snorkel and go exploring, it’s ace.

Stayed on this site for one night on our NC500 trip. A lovely setting overlooking a rocky beach then round the corner a beautiful white sandy beach where we had an evening swim. Checked in by a lovely friendly lady and told to park where we wanted. There is a shop selling essentials and a fish and chip shop ... which were delicious. Facilities aren't the best we've had during our trip but was fine for one night. The ground is a little uneven and there doesn't seem to be any structure to parking up, ie. some vans parked across pitches and others straight on. Thankfully we got there early and got a good pitch with EHU.
