First time at Hogshaw farm, we had a great time! Lots to do and see. Staff are friendly and a big shout out to Harry who delivered an excellent talk on both bird shows and the dears. We took our own lunch as the food is too expensive. Some animals were not in the cage but we did see plenty others. Great play area for kids. The garden was not so great, but we didn't go to see that! Lol I would recommend ☺️

We have just enjoyed another visit to Hogshaw. We came for the lynx feeding experience. Harry the keeper who hosted us was excellent! Very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the lynx. He made it into an extra special experience for my young Son and I. We will definitely be back to enjoy another animal experience in the near future. The farm itself is good, unfortunately a few empty enclosures at the moment but im sure there are good reasons for this. Very reasonable entry prices. Food from the restaurant is good, prices around what you expect these days. Plenty of picnic benches around the farm for people to use and many with parasols for shade. Plenty for the kids to do with a lovely outdoor play area and sand and water play area, indoor soft play area, bouncy pillows and big tyre swing among other bits. The new deer park has been very well done with a great viewing deck complete with some picnic benches. There was a new addition today of a football target goal which my Son was very happy about ! The bird show was great ! Hosted by Harry today who again was very knowledgeable about the birds he was showing. Also throwing in a few good lines to make the audience laugh along the way. The young lady in the shop was very friendly and welcoming too when we arrived (apologies, I didn't catch her name). We spent around 6 hours at the farm and had a thoroughly great day 😀. Looking forward to returning soon.

First visit to Hogshaw Farm. Disappointed they don't take cash. I had to buy gift vouchers to gain entrance and was told I wouldn't receive any refund on the voucher credit I didn't spend. The Animals: It was a warm day when we visited meaning the majority of the animals were nowhere to be seen. Either sleeping in there pens on the other side of the field or asleep in the undergrowth within the unkept pen. The pens where the animals are kept were mainly left to nature. Meaning long unkept grass or vegetation. Mainly saw goats chicken and pigs on the day of visiting. The rest were simply MIA. Didn't see threequarters of the animals we saw advertised on their website, not even the wallabies that my daughter really wanted to see. NATURE GARDEN AND GREENHOUSE: Abandoned, dried dead plant suspended from the greenhouse roof. As for the Nature garden, it's awesome if you enjoy looking at stinging nettles and weeds. Obviously hasn't been touched for months if not years. FOOD: This isn't family friendly. 2 adult cheeseburgers with 2 child cheese burger and 4 Cokes. Cost £49.90. A Can of Coke is £2.25. Not even table service you’re expected to collect your own meal from the counter and drinks from the fridge. The Burgers were cooked fresh and tested good, but not £50 Good! A child's meal shouldn't be £7. TIME: Unless you hang around for the FREE talks, the entire Farm can be walked in around 2 hours to see every field and animal encloser, and that's not rushing. Not guaranteeing you see an animal in every one of them though. Overall, we were disappointed with the visit. Could I recommend or want to visit again. The answer is NO.

Love this place, havent been in a while but we finally went on a nice sunny day, the place has changed a lot! So many improvements, new animals! Very cute overall, price is good! The cafe is nice and big, good selection of items! Just gets a bit too loud with kids inside the cafe because the playground is there too so its a bit too much for us but its understandable ☺️toilets were very clean too
