About Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa
Mallory Court is a grand Lutyens-style country house set in ten acres of manicured gardens at Bishops Tachbrook, on the edge of Royal Leamington Spa and only a few minutes' drive from Warwick. The hotel holds forty-two individually decorated bedrooms across the main house and adjoining buildings, and was named AA Small Hotel Group of the Year, reflecting a consistently high standard of service and food.
The hotel's restaurant is one of the region's most highly regarded, built around seasonal, largely local produce served in dining rooms overlooking the walled garden and croquet lawn. A spa and pool complex adds treatment rooms and relaxation space for guests wanting to combine a stay with some genuine downtime rather than a packed sightseeing schedule.
The gardens themselves, with clipped topiary, herbaceous borders and a swimming pool tucked into the walls, are as much a part of a Mallory Court stay as the rooms, and the hotel's setting between Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon makes it a well-placed base for touring the wider county while returning each evening to a genuinely quiet, formal country house.

What guests say
From the moment we first viewed Mallory Court, I knew it was the one. I had such a clear vision of the kind of venue I wanted for our wedding breakfast, and as soon as we stepped inside, I instantly felt this was where we were meant to celebrate our wedding. And oh my goodness, it did not disappoint. From start to finish, we worked with Maddy, who was absolutely brilliant. She handled every situation with such care and professionalism, always making things work for us. She was supportive, kind, and an absolute pleasure to talk to. It was clear she considered every single detail to ensure our day was nothing short of perfect. The room was set up so beautifully, even more stunning than we imagined. The food was absolutely scrumptious, and every dish looked like a work of art. The service was phenomenal. The team always seemed to appear at just the right moment whenever we needed anything. Our bridal suite was amazing, and we adored every moment of our breakfast and the spa. It was the perfect start to our journey as newlyweds. We are beyond happy that we chose Mallory Court as our venue. Our guests had nothing but praise, and we genuinely couldn’t have wished for a more magical place. Mallory Court will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we’re already planning to come back for our first wedding anniversary. If you’re looking for a wedding venue, Mallory Court is the best choice — an absolutely gorgeous place in every way🤍✨🥰

I'm really not one to leave less than 5* reviews anywhere, but my experience at Mallory Court left me feeling so disappointed I really felt like I had to. I booked the Dusk and Dream spa break as a surprise present for my boyfriend for his birthday. It's more than I'd usually spend, but it looked so great I decided to splash out! Firstly, I will say our experience with the spa was great. The facilities at the spa (especially the outside hot tub and sauna) were fab and our massages were lovely. The grounds are also impeccable and beautiful to walk around. What let the rest of the experience down was the service. Before dinner, we went over to the main house for a a few drinks on the terrace in the sun. We were told by reception it was table service, but the staff were so slow and inattentive we were constantly having to go inside to find someone. Staff would serve a different table and then head straight inside instead of looking around to see if anyone else needed anything. At one point, I was waiving at a waiter and said hello to try and get their attention and they just walked straight past. It was almost comical. As a side note, I would say it's really odd to only serve beers in 330ml cans rather than have anything on draught for a high end hotel but this wouldn't have usually bothered me, it just seems like an oversight. Our experience for dinner at Sencha is really what caused me to leave this review. It was really unpleasant. Firstly, there was no music playing and the restaurant had the vibe of a work lunch cafeteria. It felt like somewhere you wanted to get in and out of quickly rather than enjoy a nice meal. Secondly, there was only one member of staff attempting to serve drinks and food to everyone. I don't want any blame to be placed on this server at all as this is a staffing issue, but they were visibly and audibly overwhelmed. They were *constantly* running around and honestly, my partner and I felt so awkward and uncomfortable adding to this poor person's work load. We just wanted to leave as soon as possible. The food was fine, but nothing special. Lastly, we headed back over to the main house for a nightcap. Again, reception told us to sit in the lounge and wait for a server and again, no one came. I'm not impatient or unreasonable I promise, but you'd expect reception to point staff in our direction and to at least get a drinks menu. Instead, I had to try and find someone again. There was never any acknowledgement or apology for the wait and we just always felt like a bit of an annoyance. My partner and I love staying in a spa hotel as a treat and we've been to several different places over the years and never had a complaint! I really don't have high expectations, but I just want to feel comfortable and looked after, neither of which I felt here. As it was supposed to be a treat for my partner, I honestly left feeling so embarrassed by our experience. I didn't want to rate this too low as I really hate unnecessarily slamming somewhere so I think my rating of 3*s is more than fair.

The hotel itself was beautiful and very well presented. Although I missed out on the outdoor spa area with the hot tubs, the spa experience was still calm, relaxing, and very enjoyable. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable; however, the bathroom felt quite small in comparison to the size of the room. Breakfast arrangements could be improved, particularly for guests travelling for work. A continental breakfast is served before 7:30am, which may be inconvenient for those who would prefer a cooked option earlier in the morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and service overall was good. However, it was disappointing that some continental staples, such as pastries, were not available when we arrived for breakfast at 7am.
