Photo: Glyndley Manor Cottages

Cottage 23 is a detached two-bedroom property arranged on one level, giving you a living room with smart TV, a kitchen equipped for cooking, and a shower room, plus outdoor access to shared gardens and an on-site swimming pool. The main bedroom has a king bed; the second has two singles and a child's z-bed if needed. Essentials like heating, linen, towels and wifi are provided, and you have parking for two cars.

The cottage sits on the Glyndley Manor estate a short drive from Pevensey village, whose Norman castle and surrounding streets have medieval roots. A few miles away are Pevensey Bay's quieter beaches, and the coast stretches toward Eastbourne's seafront and the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head. The South Downs National Park offers walking routes through downland, while the Pevensey Levels wetland to the east is a significant bird habitat. Local pubs, tearooms and farm shops are scattered through the villages nearby. A shared launderette is available on the estate. Smoking is not permitted.

Stayed here for the weekend, first time staying here and I cannot fault this place at all! Beautiful location with countryside fields and lake, a field with alpacas and wildlife. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and other things like board games. The bed was really comfortable, place was very homely aswell. I would 100% stay here again but definitely for longer than a weekend!

Our stay was amazing, it has exactly the vibe as on the pictures. The garden center nearby is very handy to get a morning cappuccino or a groceries. There is bus stop close by so even without car the cottages are reachable. The common services did not work (washing machine, etc) during our visit but we did not mind.

I made a booking for one of their "pet friendly" cottages via booking.com. The listing did not mention anything about it being a maximum of one dog only or that there was an additional fee for bringing a dog. After booking, they sent me an email with a link to a portal and luckily I promptly accessed that and found a list of dog rules that said 1 dog only and that there was a fee of £25. I had already paid almost £300 and only had until midnight on the day of booking to cancel. If I hadn't checked the link so quickly and didn't find the rules in time then I would have lost all of my money on a booking I couldn't use because I have 2 dogs. I tried to sort it out before cancelling but they didn't respond to any of my emails before I ran out of time and was forced to cancel. I also called 7 times with no answer and left a voicemail that wasn't returned.

Lovely range of various sizes of cottages, great for a little or longer time away. We stayed in cottage 2 and fount comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful surroundings here, some nice walks and close to nice towns. There’s even a place to charge your electric vehicle.
