Cottage 28 at Glyndley Manor works well for small families or couples wanting a self-contained base near the East Sussex coast. The entire property is yours alone, with two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles), a bathroom with shower over the bath, and an open-plan living and dining area on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and essentials including Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided; one dog stays free of charge.

The cottage sits within the Glyndley Manor Estate, where you have use of a shared outdoor swimming pool and sitting areas with garden furniture. Private parking accommodates two cars. Pevensey itself has a castle dating back to Roman times, along with tea rooms and pubs, while the shingle beaches at Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne are within easy reach for walks or swimming. The Pevensey Levels Nature Reserve draws walkers and birdwatchers. No smoking is permitted inside the property.

Stayed here for the weekend, first time staying here and I cannot fault this place at all! Beautiful location with countryside fields and lake, a field with alpacas and wildlife. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and other things like board games. The bed was really comfortable, place was very homely aswell. I would 100% stay here again but definitely for longer than a weekend!

Our stay was amazing, it has exactly the vibe as on the pictures. The garden center nearby is very handy to get a morning cappuccino or a groceries. There is bus stop close by so even without car the cottages are reachable. The common services did not work (washing machine, etc) during our visit but we did not mind.

I made a booking for one of their "pet friendly" cottages via booking.com. The listing did not mention anything about it being a maximum of one dog only or that there was an additional fee for bringing a dog. After booking, they sent me an email with a link to a portal and luckily I promptly accessed that and found a list of dog rules that said 1 dog only and that there was a fee of £25. I had already paid almost £300 and only had until midnight on the day of booking to cancel. If I hadn't checked the link so quickly and didn't find the rules in time then I would have lost all of my money on a booking I couldn't use because I have 2 dogs. I tried to sort it out before cancelling but they didn't respond to any of my emails before I ran out of time and was forced to cancel. I also called 7 times with no answer and left a voicemail that wasn't returned.

Lovely range of various sizes of cottages, great for a little or longer time away. We stayed in cottage 2 and fount comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful surroundings here, some nice walks and close to nice towns. There’s even a place to charge your electric vehicle.
