We've been coming here for years now as it's so friendly and welcoming , clean and safe. Pam, Candice and Brett are so helpful and accommodating. The site itself has a shop stocked with all your needs and it's is so close, walking distance to wonderful Glastonbury shops and sight seeing, Street is nearby as are other places to explore. A wonderful location and a superb caravan Park.

We’ve just come back from a great couple of days at this campsite. Lovely, peaceful and clean site. The toilet and shower block were spotless. There’s a beautiful little shed which has a proper dog wash within it. The reception/shop is spacious and clean with a nice area out the front to sit and relax. All staff were lovely and friendly

We stayed at the Isle of Avalon over the weekend and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience from the moment we arrived. When we got there, reception was completely closed. We rang the doorbell and tried calling every contact number provided, including the emergency mobile number, but nobody answered. We even spoke to another guest staying on the campsite who also had no idea how to contact anyone who worked there. After waiting around 30 minutes and continuing to call, a man eventually arrived at reception, gave us our pitch details and opened the gates for us. While we were putting up our tent, a woman came marching over towards us. I said hello, but she ignored me completely and approached in a very aggressive and accusatory manner. She questioned all three of us individually, asking who we were, whether we were together, how we had got onto the site, and who had let us in. We explained several times that we had been met at reception by a man working there, but she refused to believe us and repeatedly demanded his name. She informed us multiple times that she was the owner and that she had been watching us on CCTV “to keep customers safe.” Despite us offering to show her the site map and ticket we had been given at reception, she refused to even look at them. Instead, the confrontation continued in a hostile tone. Before walking away, she aggressively warned us to make sure our tent was properly pegged down “or it might not be there in the morning,” which we found completely inappropriate and intimidating. We had pre-booked online in advance and arrived within the advertised check-in times. There were around three tents on site when we arrived, so she certainly did not appear busy or overwhelmed by the number of tents arriving, so we were unable to see why she was so confused and irritated by our arrival. In over 30 years of camping, I have never experienced such hostility or poor customer service on a campsite. If the owner had genuinely been watching us on CCTV, it raises the question of why she didn’t simply come and greet us, answer the phone, or assist us when we were stranded outside reception for half an hour. Overall, the behaviour we experienced was extremely odd, confrontational, and unprofessional. The complete lack of customer service and the aggressive attitude made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome so we didn’t stay for our paid duration and checked out early due to the behaviour and threats towards us by the owner.
