About Wookey Farm
A couple of miles from Wookey Hole's famous caves, this family-run goat farm offers something genuinely special for younger campers: daily encounters with goats, sheep, pigs, hens and a resident donkey. The two-and-a-half-acre main field and overflow meadow border the River Axe, where a rope tyre swing dangles thrillingly over the water - though steadier souls might prefer the gentler swings dotted elsewhere around the site. Pitches are level and spacious, with electric hookups available if you want them, and the communal campfire area proves a magnetic draw for budding pyromaniacs.
Facilities lean deliberately eco-friendly: four compost loos cleaned twice daily, a basic washing-up area, and thorough recycling points. The on-site farm shop sells the farm's own goat's cheese and milk alongside barbecue essentials. Some visitors note the set-up can feel fairly rustic, but most find that charm rather than limitation. Wookey village's café, shop and three pubs sit just down the lane, while Wells (three and a half miles) and Glastonbury (six miles) make easy day trips, with Mendip Hills views surveying the whole scene.

We absolutely love this site. My lad always has the loveliest time meeting new friends and playing in the stream. It's reasonably priced, easy to book, in a lovely location and has a great little shop for those last minute necessities. The pub down the road is great too. We'll be back again soon.

A little piece of magic! We absolutely loved staying here. Our pitch was wonderful, the rows of bushes and trees in between each pitch gives you a great sense of privacy and makes you feel truly in nature which we appreciated, we had an electric hook up pitch which was simple to setup. The farm itself is such a fantastic addition, we loved visiting the farm animals and exploring, the campsite was so quiet and really is idyllic. The compost toilets were well maintained and the structure is beautiful built. We loved the non contact approach of checking in and setting up our electric but also found the staff were friendly and contactable when needed. There is clearly a lot of love that’s been put into this place and we really appreciate it, looking forward to seeing what you do in the future! Highly recommend.

Such a welcoming and homely camping ideal! Children free to participate in feeding the pigs, goats and llamas. Large field space with clean compost toilets. Definitely an eco centred Farm and within walking distance of lovely friendly village.... Thank you for a wonderful stay....
