Lydford sits at the edge of Dartmoor National Park, home to Lydford Castle, a Saxon town, and some of the region's most dramatic landscapes. Chapel Cottage occupies a quiet spot in this historic village, a traditional stone building with its own garden and parking for two cars. The whole property is yours alone, sleeping up to five across two bedrooms: one with a king bed, the other with a double and single.
The ground floor contains an open-plan living area with a wood burner and smart TV, plus two separate kitchen spaces—one compact with a dishwasher, the other larger with an electric cooker and walk-in pantry. There is also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs, a double shower room serves both bedrooms. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. The front garden has seating, and a pub is within walking distance.
From the cottage, you can reach Lydford Gorge on foot—the south west's deepest river gorge, with waterfalls and woodland trails. The Granite Way, an 11-mile multi-use path to Okehampton, starts locally. Tors, stone circles and Bronze Age remains dot the moors nearby. Children under four are not suitable for this property. Pets stay free of charge.
