About Harford Bridge Park
Tucked into a peaceful riverside spot near Tavistock, Harford Bridge Park offers a genuine escape into the Devon countryside without sacrificing creature comforts. The real draw here is the setting—pitches right by the water's edge give you that gentle river soundtrack, and there's a proper mix of options from fully serviced hardstanding to more secluded non-electric grass spots. Families appreciate the relaxed, dog-friendly atmosphere and reliable facilities, while the shepherd's hut adds a glamping alternative if you fancy something different.
The site makes an excellent base for exploring Dartmoor's western edge, with Tavistock's cafés and shops just a short drive away. Some visitors note that facilities, while clean and functional, can feel a touch dated in places—but the overall package and that lovely riverside aspect more than compensate. WiFi throughout means you can stay connected, though you might find yourself forgetting to check your phone.

What visitors say
Stayed for Bank Holiday weekend in our caravan. First time we’ve visited Harford Bridge and we loved it. Small Play Park but my daughter just lives a swing so she was happy, fed the ducks, games room. We had a pitch that backed onto The River and it was lovely to hear the water. Kids had a play on a small pebbled section next to the river. Small shop with all the basics. Showers hot and immaculate. Special shout out to the wardens - Doug and Dolly. They were the friendliest wardens we’ve ever come across. Extremely helpful and easy going. We are looking forward to returning very soon.

We had a wonderful first stay at Harford bridge and will definitely be back! Really friendly team and spotless campsite. Great facilities for the kids and adults! The play park is brilliant and the spot on the river Tavy makes spending a day on the site wonderful and peaceful. Great location to the many local sights in Devon and Cornwall. Really close to the town of Tavistock for takeaways, supermarkets and petrol too 👍 The onsite shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. We had a lovely time the last week and can’t wait to come back! My sons enjoyed the river, games room, park and tennis courts. Thank you!

We first came here 13 years ago with our tent.. this time returning with our touring caravan. Booked a hardstanding pitch with EHU. We were allocated a lovely pitch by the river, huge gravel/ slate area to pitch with its own bench/ table. Communal water point was behind us, so got lucky there haha, short walk to toilet/ shower block which is in the centre of the park. The park has been developed since our last visit but it now has more variety of pitches, so grass, grass with EHU, hard standing and I believe there are some serviced hardstanding right by the shower block. Showers and Toilets kept very clean, hot showers with space to change, a hook to hang your towel (which some sites fail to include!) Little reception / shop, park ducks roaming about, play area for kids, the park pretty much suits all ages and all types of accommodation be it in a tent, caravan, motorhome, etc etc... Website details all the on site bookable accommodation (statics/ tipis / pods) plus loads more information, very handy indeed. Its a 30/40 min walk into Tavistock, great local pubs nearby, will return again soon!!

I would highly recommend this site the staff are lovely the park as a whole is very well maintained and the caravan we stayed in was absolutely spotless, Definitely one of the nicest we have stayed in and for what we would determine as good value for money. Our children loved playing in the park on site and skimming stones in the river and the games room is a lovely addition. We had a look around the camping facilities and again all spotless and well maintained. Thank you for a great holiday we would love to come and visit again the cox family
