Orchard Barn

Everything is built in at Orchard Barn. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, air fryer, dishwasher and all the basics for self-catering. Heating comes from an air source system with underfloor pipes running throughout, and there is air conditioning on the ground floor. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with initial logs for the wood burner and charcoal for the barbecue. The owners leave a welcome pack of local produce, and can also arrange award-winning meat from the farm or fresh quiches and scones from a neighbour if you want an evening off cooking.

The barn sleeps six across three bedrooms, each with a zip-and-link super kingsize bed that can split into singles if needed. Four bathrooms means no queuing: three have walk-in showers and one a roll-top bath. Downstairs is a large open-plan space with a 55-inch smart TV and wood burner for the living area, plus a dining section and kitchen flowing together. Outside, there is a hot tub, patio with furniture, and a barbecue. A games room holds table tennis and pool tables, plus a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer. One dog is welcome and the property has electric car charging available. It lies on a working farm a couple of miles from South Tawton village, near the edge of Dartmoor National Park.
