What visitors say
YMCA Maidstone is a brilliant place for all sorts of activities. I took my 2 daughters to YMCA for one of the half term actives and it was amazing! I also had a look around their gym, guided by a lovely gentleman named Callum, which was very well equipped for training everything, also having a wide range of cardio machines. The staff all were welcoming and friendly and couldn’t recommend it more! Sadly we live too far out of town to become regulars but we would definitely recommend for the locals or visitors as a one off!

Nice indoor and outdoor sports / athletics and Wellness centre for the Maidstone community. It's quite family oriented too as there is something for every member of the family.....from Loose Pre School, dance classes, ballet classes to basketball, football, skating, gym, Wellness Centre / Spa (massages, acupuncture, osteopathy et al) etc. There is also a small place to buy quick bites and drinks.....and yes, they have high chairs for toddlers. Good one that covid restrictions are in place 👏 👌 I tried to capture their brochures and leaflets for more information as required.....there is also a picture with their social media handles and of cause a reception at the entrance for all information....

For football birthday parties I would honestly recommend 1star. My son had a joint party in November with his friend from school which took some convincing as a previous party held here was also a disaster. However, with limited football parties around I convinced my son to have a party here. 1) the receptionist I spoke to was quite rude for starters, I was asked to pay deposit to secure the date and advised if the party contact Sam wasn’t available I could pay with reception and the lady I spoke to advised no, was quite blunt and rude and eventually after explaining I was on my lunch break I needed to make the payment I was reluctantly put through to Sam for payment - if my son hadn’t requested a football party on her service alone I was tempted to cancel. 2) I made it very clear that the party was inside as not all the children invite spent a lot of time playing football and November time is cold and wet anyways the day of the party the site called me to offer me a full refund for it to be outside due to double booking - I made it clear this was not ok and declined - we had it inside and the roller skating class they had was delayed as this was the “double booking” 3) the host - you pay per child and it advises they do penalty shootouts, all these football fun activities - no. This did not happen the children were left to run up and down until we intervened and asked about the shootouts etc offered on the package the host said what do we want him to do and tried to engage the children but in all honesty was not very motivating - it was like aPE lesson where you pay £20 per child for a hall would of been cheaper honestly. The food is basic but not the worst. The host also kept disappearing I’m sure every 5 minutes. Anyways this was on the back of a party we’d been to before were a refund was given then for other reasons I won’t disclose and a bad review from a colleague at work - if you are after a football birthday party - I’d get a hall personally!

Excellent sports centre, I have my badminton coaching here, best venue I play in. Facilities are great, well maintained, beautifully clean, staff are a cut above. Highly recommended, don't go anywhere else
