Mallard Cottage

Lincoln's castle and cathedral are five miles away, reachable for a morning or afternoon visit to the Cathedral Quarter's independent shops and restaurants. A 50-acre nature reserve down the lane offers walking and birdwatching. The property itself sits beside a coarse fishing lake—unfenced, so the water is there if you want it—with a private garden that slopes down to the water's edge.

Mallard Cottage is a single-storey cabin with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, each bedroom fitted with a kingsize bed and its own ensuite. The living space is open plan, with French doors opening to a patio where you can eat, and bi-fold doors from the sitting area to the garden. The kitchen has everything needed for self-catering: oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine among the appliances. All bedrooms have a smart TV. The six-person hot tub faces out over the lake—a decent way to end the day.

The enclosed garden has a BBQ and seating. Parking is available for three cars, and there's an EV charging point. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are included. One dog can stay free. No smoking throughout the property.
