Windmill Barns - Millstone Barn

Millstone Barn sits in open countryside between Gainsborough and Brigg, where footpaths and cycle routes begin virtually at the door. The converted barn is one of two on this working property, converted from the original grain storage for a nearby windmill. It's yours alone, ground-floor throughout, with a king bed in the bedroom, an ensuite shower room, and an open-plan living and dining space with a woodburner and television.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and gas hob, plus the usual fridge, microwave and basics. You'll find bed linen, towels and wi-fi included. The real draw is the private hot tub on the patio, and beyond that a large enclosed garden with an orchard and shared barbecue area. There's parking for two cars and a bike store. The owners live on-site and can provide a travel cot or highchair if needed. No smoking indoors.

Lincoln's cathedral and castle are 15 miles south; the Bailgate has cafés and independent shops. Gainsborough's high street and pubs are a short drive, as is Brigg. The setting suits couples wanting a peaceful base for exploring the county without the fuss of driving back to a town every evening.
