This wing of an 18th-century farmhouse sits on a working farm near West Calder, screened by rhododendrons and woodland from the main buildings. The property is yours alone, with three bedrooms and a bathroom spread across two floors. Downstairs, a living room with a multi-fuel burner opens onto a garden and patio; upstairs, a second living space gives families extra room to spread out. One dog is welcome.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; heating and electricity are charged at cost. There is parking for three cars on site and direct access to shared woodland and a play area with swings and a slide. The property suits families or groups wanting rural peace within half an hour of Edinburgh, with the Pentland Hills within walking distance and Glasgow, Stirling and Livingston all within reach for days out.

It was a wonderful forty birthday winter holiday in february 2024. G was very kind and helpful all along. My kids were very happy to spend one week in this house full of memories !!! WE stayed in the wing. I highly recommend ! I Hope we could meet again !

Geraldine at Crosswoodhill Farm really came to our rescue when my mum had a long stay in St Johns hospital. Without her we would of struggled to find anywhere to stay for the two months she was a patient. We stayed in all four self catering properties over the two months and they were all fantastic, especially Craigengar, the grandest house I've stayed in. Thanks again G.

Spent the weekend here with our family, excellent accommodation, plenty of space for the grandchildren to play, especially the outside area. The house was in a secluded area with beautiful views and the sheep in the field added to the enjoyment of the kids, would certainly recommend.

Amazing, luxurious house - Stayed at Craigengar Lodge. Beautiful surroundings, clean, spacious, lots of gorgeous bathrooms, huge reception and kitchen area... Perfect for our Calmblue Spiritual Retreats (held two there so far). G was so attentive and friendly. We will be back to do more!
