The Stables occupies a former stable building within Harburn Estate, a private country property spanning over 1000 acres of landscaped grounds, woodland and parkland near the West Lothian border. This sympathetically converted steading retains character details—exposed stone walls, stable doors—while offering the space and facilities needed for larger groups. Five bedrooms and four bathrooms are distributed across ground and first floors, with the layout reflecting the quirky geometry of old estate conversions that spreads sleeping areas throughout rather than clustering them.
Ground floor includes a master bedroom with ensuite, a twin room with its own shower room, plus a spacious living room and dining room equipped for families. The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, opening onto the gardens via a stable door. Upstairs, three further bedrooms share two bathrooms. The property comes with essentials covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—plus travel cots and high chairs. A courtyard with garden furniture and a BBQ opens onto the 12-acre grounds you'll have exclusive use of; the wider estate grounds are shared with the owner.
No smoking inside. The grounds contain an unfenced pond and stream approximately 20 yards from the house. Check-in is after 16:00, checkout before 11:00.
