About Mercure Livingston Hotel
Mercure Livingston Hotel is a substantial two-floor property in Almondview, Livingston, built around 120 guest rooms rather than the multi-storey towers typical of chain hotels. Its spread-out, low-rise layout gives it the feel of a resort-style base rather than a city-centre stopover, with a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating adding to the sense of space.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible options are available for those who need them. Guests have use of an indoor swimming pool and gym, and the hotel serves breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals alongside its restaurant, bar and snack bar. A lift serves both floors, and practical extras include room service, laundry service and luggage storage, plus meeting rooms and business facilities for those travelling on business or organising events such as weddings.
The location puts guests close to Livingston Designer Outlet and Almond Valley Heritage Centre, with a golf course and further pubs and restaurants nearby. Free on-site parking is provided, making it a straightforward base for exploring West Lothian by car.
Guests consistently praise this hotel for its spacious rooms featuring comfortable beds and delicious food, including a fantastic breakfast with diverse options. The exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful staff are also frequently mentioned for providing excellent service.
Some reviews mention the rooms can be dated.
