Chipping Norton sits at the heart of the Cotswolds, surrounded by rolling countryside and within easy reach of a pub. The Meadow Retreat is a first-floor loft apartment that occupies the upper storey of Kingham Lodge, a converted country house set within five acres of grounds. The property is yours alone during your stay, with parking in front of the main building.
Inside, an open-plan living space combines a fully equipped kitchen with a comfortable seating area centred on a FreeSat TV and a large antique oak dining table. Glass doors open onto a Juliet balcony overlooking trees, and a glazed cupola floods the space with daylight. Two bedrooms sleep four: a double with king-size bed and a twin that converts to a super-king, both served by spacious bathrooms with shower and bath. Underfloor heating runs throughout. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the price.
The grounds offer direct access to the lodge's five acres via a path from the front steps, though the property itself has no private garden. A shared swimming pool and steam room are located directly beneath the apartment. The property is non-smoking.

The pictures dont do this place justice. Great airbnb! We were super happy with it. The apartment is large well stocked and very pleasant. The shower is excellent as is the kitchen. There are horses in the fields around and it feels very peaceful and quiet. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend it.

The photos are a reflection of what you get. What they do not capture is the warm welcome given by Karen the owner. She was very welcoming and gave us advise on restaurants around the area too. The thought we found waiting for us was an extra touch. It's an experience to be surrounded by horses and the quiet nature around. Loved every minute.

Had a lovely stay here the other week. Very clean, lovely relaxing location. There is a village just up the road with a co op and pub/ Indian. Ideal for going to visits the Cotswolds but also not far from Bicester. If you are a horse lover, then ideal location for you.
