The Garth House

West Oxfordshire

View on Google Maps

Built three centuries ago, The Garth House is a traditional Cotswold cottage with the solid character that comes from real age. Stone walls, oak floors and a working fireplace give it genuine period feel, yet it functions as a proper modern home—central heating, a full kitchen with dishwasher and double oven, and a conservatory that catches the afternoon sun. The whole place is yours alone, not shared with owners or other guests.

Two bedrooms sleep four: one has a king-size four-poster with an en-suite shower room and views toward the church; the other has twin beds (linkable to a double) and a family bathroom. Downstairs spreads across a generous open-plan layout with a dining table seating six to eight, a sitting room arranged around the fire, and a utility room with a washer-dryer. One well-behaved dog can come with you. The south-facing walled garden is private and fully enclosed, with a terrace off both the living room and conservatory, garden furniture, and a swing for children. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; there is a cot and highchair if you need them. A pub stands within a mile; the setting is rural.
