Glen House comes ready for a break—electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided, along with Wi-Fi and access to a swimming pool. The cottage sits on a small private estate in Kingham, one of five properties across the grounds, each with its own space. Three bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, give everyone privacy; the layout works equally well for families or groups of friends wanting to spread out without losing the chance to gather together. An enclosed garden and patio are yours for the duration.

The cottage itself blends older pieces with modern amenities, renovated to a standard that means you arrive to something already thought through. Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh are a short drive; closer by are Daylesford Farm and the Cotswold Water Park if you're after things to do with children. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property is non-smoking, and there's parking on site.
