Amber Nook

Farmland surrounds this part of Westmorland and Furness, four miles north of Ullswater. The Northern Lakes are within easy reach—Penrith, Aira Force, and the Ullswater steamers all make for straightforward day trips. A pub lies just over half a mile away.

Amber Nook is a Scandinavian-style lodge on a small development, set back from the wider world. The whole ground floor serves as your space: an open-plan living area with patio doors onto a large terrace, a separate dining zone, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave and full-sized fridge-freezer. One bedroom holds a double bed with an ensuite shower; the other has two singles. A second bathroom offers a bath with shower over. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are all included. One dog stays free.

A lawned garden and enclosed terrace provide outdoor space. There's a barbecue, parking for two cars on site, and a garden setup that works for young children if needed. No smoking inside.
