Bandrake Barn

Bandrake Barn works well for couples or small families wanting countryside space without the fuss of a larger property. The converted stone barn retains original oak beams and sits in its own grounds with parking for two cars, an enclosed garden, and a patio where you can use the barbecue. Two bedrooms upstairs and down – one with a zip-and-link super king, one with a kingsize – share two bathrooms, and the ground floor opens into a living and dining space with a woodburner and Smart TV.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer all there. Bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are included. The barn is within easy reach of Coniston Water and Grizedale Forest for walking and cycling; Bowness and Windermere are twenty minutes away by car. Nearer still, the village pub and restaurant are walkable, and a cinema is five minutes on foot. The coast road connects to Silecroft beach and Ravenglass, where the Little Railway runs seven miles inland to Boot. Note that children under twelve cannot stay here, and there is a pond in the garden.
