Ten acres of woodland surround this cottage on Windermere's outskirts, with the Dales Way half a mile away and immediate access to fell walking and cycling. The Lake District's attractions—Windermere itself, Bowness, historic sites and hiking trails—are within easy reach, but the setting is quiet enough that you can disappear into the trees without effort.

Beeches has three bedrooms (a kingsize, a twin and a single) and one shower room. The main living space combines dining and sitting areas around a woodburner; a smart TV and wi-fi are also there. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and coffee machine for self-catering. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are included. There is a rear garden with furniture and private parking for two cars. The ground-floor layout means you climb 15 external steps to reach the entrance, but everything else is level inside. No smoking throughout.
