Bluebell Barn

The Eden Valley sits between two of England's most walked landscapes. From here, the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are both within reach—one closer for a morning walk, the other for a full day out. Bluebell Barn makes a practical base for that kind of exploring: a converted barn with three bedrooms and one bathroom, sleeping up to six people, with a garden, parking for three cars, and space to store bikes if you bring them.

Inside, the ground floor has a living room with a woodburner, a kitchen fitted for cooking rather than just heating ready meals (electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher), and a conservatory. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two with double beds and one with two singles. One dog stays free. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the woodburner comes with its first load of fuel. A travel cot and highchair are available if you ask ahead.

Ravenstonedale, with its pubs and nine-hole golf course, is within easy reach. Kirkby Stephen, the nearest proper market town, has independent shops, cafés and supermarkets five miles away. The closest pub is a mile's walk. No smoking inside the property.
