Rough Fell Lodge
Westmorland and Furness
Rough Fell Lodge is a contemporary timber-built property set within seven acres of woodland and landscaped grounds. Everything sits on the ground floor, accessed via three steps, with an open-plan living space that brings the kitchen, dining and sitting areas together. French doors open onto decking where you can eat outside, and a wood-burning stove provides focal-point warmth on cooler evenings. The three bedrooms each have zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as either doubles or twins, and each comes with its own ensuite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. A separate bathroom serves the third bedroom.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge-freezer are all here, along with a washer-dryer tucked away. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. The private hot tub sits on the decking and accommodates six people, and there is private parking for two cars. The shared grounds beyond include a children's play area, barbecue and garden furniture, as well as a wildlife pond and small stream. Ravenstonedale village, with pubs serving local food, lies roughly a mile away; Kirkby Stephen market town is about six miles distant and has access to the Settle-Carlisle Railway. Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
