Herdwick Lodge

A single-storey lodge built with solid logs, Herdwick Lodge sits on a small residential estate in Westmorland and Furness. The whole property is yours alone, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms arranged on one level, making it straightforward to manage as a group. Each bedroom has beds that can be configured as either two singles or one kingsize, and every bedroom has its own ensuite or access to the main bathroom. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included.

The heart of the lodge is a living space with Freeview TV and an electric woodburner, opening directly onto a deck where a private hot tub sits ready for up to six people. A dining area adjoins this, and the kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals. Outside, the shared grounds contain a barbecue area, children's play space, and garden furniture; there is also a natural pond and small stream on the estate. A wildlife pond and small stream run through the shared grounds. Parking for two cars is provided. No smoking inside.

The location balances seclusion with proximity to local amenities. Ravenstonedale village, with several pubs serving local food, is about a mile away. Kirkby Stephen market town—home to the Settle to Carlisle Railway and independent shops—lies six miles off. This suits families, groups of friends and couples looking for countryside space without complete isolation.
