Pooley Bridge and the quieter reaches of Ullswater sit within easy reach of this ground-floor bungalow in a small village in the North Lakes. Crosslands is detached, with its own parking and a fully enclosed back garden—useful if you're bringing a dog, which can stay free. The layout keeps everything accessible: a living room with electric heating, a kitchen fitted for proper cooking, two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed, one with singles), and a bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

Essentials like electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are covered. The kitchen has a cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer tucked away. There's a bike store if you want to explore by pedal, and storage space for larger gear. A cot and highchair are available if needed.

The village location trades the bustle of the main tourist centres for a base where you can reach Hutton in the Forest, Aira Force waterfall, or the shoreline walks around Ullswater within half an hour's drive. No smoking inside.
