Daisy Bank Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
Bowness-on-Windermere's oldest quarter holds Daisy Bank Cottage, a stone former fisherman's home with views across the lake from its rooms. The village spreads around it—shops, pubs and restaurants within a five-minute walk, and the water itself the backdrop to daily life here. The cottage runs across three floors, giving families and groups genuine space to spread out without feeling cramped.
Three bedrooms sleep six: one with a super king bed and television, a second with a double, and a third with bunks for children. Downstairs, a kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob for proper cooking, a games room with a snooker table occupies the lower ground floor, and a living room with a wood-burning stove anchors the social space. One bathroom with a shower over the bath serves the whole property. Wi-Fi, electricity and heating are covered; bed linen and towels are provided.
The location suits people wanting to walk straight onto fells and around the shoreline, or to slip into the village for a meal without moving the car. No smoking indoors.
