🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Days Bank

Westmorland and Furness

This traditional stone cottage dates to an era when Lake District buildings were constructed from local materials and built to last. Days Bank sits on a quiet lane at Coniston's edge, a short walk from the town centre and its shops, restaurants and pubs. The property sleeps four across two bedrooms: a double on the first floor with an ensuite featuring a roll-top bath and shower, and a twin room with its own shower cubicle. A separate toilet serves both. Downstairs, the living room centres on a working woodburner, with a traditional kitchen beyond that has everything needed for self-catering—oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine included.

The cottage comes with essentials covered: bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity. Logs for the woodburner are provided to start with. There is private parking for one car in the village, with unloading space at the door, and a small front garden with views toward the lake and Grizedale forest. A patio and storage shed occupy the rear. The setting suits anyone wanting access to Coniston Water and the surrounding fells, whether for walking, cycling or simply sitting by the water. The town itself, just 200 yards away, offers everything from outdoor kit shops to cafés and local ales.
