One bedroom has a king bed with ensuite shower; the other has two single beds with a bathroom offering both bath and shower. Spiral stairs connect the levels—note they are open and steep.

An enclosed garden with patio and furniture opens from the lower ground floor, though neighbours do use a right of way through it to access their own home. Parking is available on the road outside. The cottage suits adults and children aged 8 and over; the owner occasionally brings a dog to the property. Grange itself is an elegant seaside town with a long promenade, antique shops and cafes. Cartmel, known for its priory and racecourse, sits nearby. Lake Windermere's southern tip is roughly seven miles away, giving straightforward access to the higher fells.
