Fellfoot Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
Fellfoot Cottage began life as a bobbin mill worker's house and retains that character alongside modern comforts. Located in Staveley village between Kendal and Windermere, at the mouth of Kentmere Valley, it sits in a rural setting with easy reach of both towns. The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, the other a zip-and-link that can be configured as singles on request—plus a bathroom with shower over bath and heated towel rail.
Downstairs is split between a front living room and an open-plan kitchen and dining area at the back. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. An external utility room holds the washer-dryer, with extra space for boots and bikes. The rear garden faces east and steps up behind an outhouse; it's furnished with seating and catches sun for most of the day. Access to the cottage involves three steps at the entrance, and there are further steps up to the garden itself. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; there is on-road parking. The village beyond the garden fence has two pubs, a shop, butchers, post office, cafés and an artisan bakery. One dog is welcome. No smoking.
