Fernwhisper Cottage is an 18-bedroom manor house that accommodates 36 guests across its entirety—yours alone for the duration of your stay. Built in 1834 and granted Grade II listing status, the property overlooks Lake Windermere. It functions as a genuine event space: formal and informal reception rooms include a grand dining hall, cocktail lounge and games room, alongside outdoor areas suited to alfresco entertaining. A hot tub sits within the grounds.

The essentials—bed linen, towels and electricity—are provided, along with wifi throughout. Pets are welcome. The property is non-smoking. Windermere and Ambleside lie within reach, each offering restaurants, pubs and shops. Arriving after 4pm and departing before 10am frames each visit.
