Glendowlin Lodge Retreat

The Cumbrian countryside around Pooley Bridge and Ullswater draws walkers and explorers year-round. Glendowlin Lodge Retreat sits in this landscape near Yanwath, a base for anyone wanting to explore lakeside paths, the villages dotted through the valleys, or simply spend time outdoors. The lodge is yours alone—three bedrooms sleeping up to five guests, with a private garden and space to park.

Everything sits on the ground floor, accessible via four steps from the drive. The main living space opens out across a kitchen, dining area and sitting room with a wood burner, with views toward the Pennines framed by the windows. Bedroom one has a king bed and an en-suite bath with shower; bedroom two offers a double bed and houses the washing machine and tumble dryer; bedroom three is a three-quarter double. A second bathroom serves the other bedrooms. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One dog can come along at no extra cost.

The enclosed garden to the front has a lawn, seating area and furniture for sitting outside. A gravelled parking area fits three cars. No smoking is permitted inside. Check-in is after 3pm and checkout before 10am.
