The location puts you amid fell walks and landscape in the Lake District National Park—serious walkers can attempt the Kentmere Horseshoe, while others can simply stroll local footpaths or drive to Haweswater, Troutbeck, and Long Sleddale. Staveley, four miles away, has shops, cafes and pubs serving food. Fishing permits and mountain bike hire are available locally. Smoking is not permitted.
