Holiday lodge park in Windermere with showers, on-site pub, and dog-friendly accommodation.
About Limefitt Park
Windermere draws visitors for its lakes and fells, and Limefitt Park sits right at the heart of it all as a holiday lodge destination. The park comprises several named lodges spread across the site, each with their own character, and guests consistently report finding them spacious and well-maintained with good views. All lodges have access to showers, and the on-site Haybarn Inn serves food and drink without needing to leave the grounds.
The appeal here is quietness – staff are noted for being helpful and attentive, and the atmosphere suits those after a genuine break rather than entertainment. Dogs are welcome, which matters to many visitors. The lodges themselves come with all the essentials you'd need for a self-catering stay, and the Haybarn offers decent food at reasonable prices when you don't want to cook.

What visitors say
If i could have given more than 5 stars I would have. We stayed in borrowdale cottage and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were brilliant from the second we arrived to the second we left, they were absolutely brilliant with my 2 year old aswell. Food at the pub was delicious and very well priced! We cant wait to come back! Only one thing the cottage would have benefited from was some air con or even a little fan as on the hotter days it was extremely hot in the cottage even with the windows open.

I Recently stayed here with my teen son and our dog, and we had a really lovely stay. The location is amazing, with plenty of walking options, and it’s only a short drive into Bowness-on-Windermere, which we visited a few times. It was great for the dog too, as most places nearby are very dog-friendly. The caravan was clean on arrival – a little dated, but absolutely fine for a dog-friendly stay. We were situated right by the river, which was beautiful to look out onto. Even the weather didn’t spoil it. As it was out of season and we spent a lot of time off-site, we didn’t interact with many staff, but those in the on-site pub and at reception were lovely and helpful. Overall, it’s a really beautiful, quiet, and relaxing site, and we’ll definitely be visiting again.

Honestly I can say I was slightly disappointed with our trip to Limefitt, the lake district had been a dream destination for me and after a long drive down we looked forward to staying at this caravan site which had lovely reviews. However we were truly let down. Firstly the caravan is very ill equip. Almost every site you go to will give you complementary hand soap but all we had was a few tea bags sugars and milks. It wasn't a big deal but the shop was closed when we had arrived meaning we had no way of washing our hands the first night. We resulted to using washing up gel. Please note if you stay here, bring your own soap, washing up stuff and sponges. They do have dishwashers but you'll have to buy the tablets yourself. The second big let-down for us was the restaurant provided by the park. All over the park you'll see ads saying "breakfast served all day" absolute lie. The place was never open. And when it was open you had a hour for breakfast between 10:30-11:30. The food was nothing special either and quality seemed hit and miss. One night I had a delightful Strawberry soda with real strawberries in. The other night I had the passionfruit soda with absolutely no garnish what so ever. It's a huge let down as we actually chose Limefitt for its restaurant out of convivence for us. They also do not give you any complimentary maps for the area or any information upon arrival. I have stayed in a few places like this and it seems they all do these basic things but Limefitt did not deliver on any of it. The Caravan itself was decent but the bedside tables in the bedroom stunk of a odd cheap wood smell. Which i found pretty difficult to sleep next too. (I do understand the park cannot control what wood smells like though). Our view was non existent, there is little in terms of walks around the park itself either. We ended up feeling lost, uninformed and quite frankly let down by Limefitt all together. Parkdeans is a chain company and by the looks of it they've expanded pretty decently across the UK so I hope that other sites are better or maybe we just had a bad week? But I can safely say for me personally it will be an AirBNB next time. Complete letdown. :(

Excellent location and stunning views of the Lake District Mountains or peaks. Check-in was hassle free and same with check-out. I spent a lot of time out and about so didn't get much interaction with the staff but based on what interaction I did get was top notch. The haybarn inn is a great on site pub restaurant with great food and service too. The accommodation was of high quality and cleanliness. Staying in a lodge was a great experience. The heating and hot water worked fine. The beds were comfortable and also very spacious for a holiday home. This is definitely on my list for a return. Thanks to all the staff at Limefitt holiday park.
