About Troutbeck Camping Pods
Tucked up the Troutbeck Valley away from the road, this clutch of glamping pods occupies a peaceful spot in the Lake District National Park with views towards Windermere and countryside rolling away on all sides. Each of the four pods sleeps up to four in a double bed plus bunks, with ensuite shower rooms, underfloor heating, and proper self-catering kit – microwave, cooker, utensils – alongside a TV and wifi for downtime. The communal Hobbit House, complete with central firepit, makes a sociable gathering point after a day on the fells.
Walkers are spoiled for choice: Wansfell Pike, Kirkstone Pass, Troutbeck Tongue and Garburn Pass all lie within easy reach, while Bowness-on-Windermere is ten minutes by car and Ambleside fifteen. Two pubs serve food in the village (one a five-minute stroll, the other fifteen), plus there's a tearoom if you fancy a break from the pod kitchen. Ask the friendly owners nicely and they'll show you around the working farm – time your visit for March or April and you might catch newborn calves or lambs.

First time staying in a glamping pod, but won't be our last. It has everything you need set in a stunning location. Great communication from Hannah. Pud is a 5 minute walk which is a bonus Genuinely an amazing experience, Hannah and Pip should be very proud of what they have achieved.

We had an amazing time!! We had the pod at the top and the view was incredible. Hannah was extremely responsive from the start and gave us loads of recommendations for local walks to do. She even welcomed us when we arrived much later than expected (9:30pm) with a smile and helped us get our stuff up the the pod. This was a really unique experience. The pod literally has anything you need to make it a relaxing home away from home.We will certainly be back- I’d rate it higher if I could!

Quite a find.....tucked away this is only one of 3 pods so really quiet and relaxing. Extremely clean and very functional...great use of space. Outdoor decking with table, chairs and small barbeque.....ideal if you're city folk who want a reminder of the countryside and like to sit contemplating life with a coffee and the farm livestock. I absolutely loved it .....and will be going back!

Gorgeous pods and location, and easy to find. My girlfriend and I just spent a weekend here and thought it was beautiful. So easy to check in and get settled, and easy to access parking on site. The pod itself was stunning, great facilities like shower/toilet and kitchen within the pod, and fresh sheets and towels for our stay. Definitely recommend this site, with very friendly owners. Absolutely no hassle all weekend. Loved it.
