Ivy Cottage

Ivy Cottage is a single-storey property on the edge of Dent village, sleeping two in a zip-and-link bedroom that can be configured as either a double or two singles. The ground-floor layout keeps everything accessible: a combined living and dining space with a wood burner and smart TV, a kitchen equipped for self-catering, and a shower room with a walk-in enclosure. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, and there is private parking for two cars on site.

What sets this cottage apart is an external utility room—essentially a dedicated space for guests with dogs or boots thick with fell mud. It contains a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, external shower and a drying rack, plus a cycle rack for bikes. The main house also has an enclosed gravelled garden with seating, and pets stay at no extra cost. Non-smokers only. The village sits on the Dales Way, a long-distance walking route that runs between Ilkley and Bowness-on-Windermere, making it a natural base for exploring the fells and dales on foot.
