One bathroom serves the house, with a bath and separate shower cubicle. The ground floor holds a living room with woodburner and smart TV, plus a kitchen-diner with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, where you can cook proper meals or keep things simple. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included; the woodburner's initial fuel comes with the cottage, and further supplies are available locally. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are on hand for younger children.

The cottage sits in Dent, a hamlet in the Howgill Fells near Sedbergh, surrounded by rolling farmland and fell country. Walking is immediate—Whernside and the broader Yorkshire Dales landscape lie on your doorstep. A pub is within a mile's walk. The front garden has a sitting-out area, and there is parking for three cars on site. The property has a natural spring water supply. Smoking is not permitted, but one pet stays free of charge.
