Kaptain’s Cabin

Penrith's market town shops and restaurants lie within driving distance, as do Keswick, Carlisle, Aira Force waterfall, and the Ullswater steamers. Hadrian's Wall and the Eden Valley are also accessible for day trips. A pub sits within a mile of Kaptain's Cabin itself, and the wider area holds fell walks, water sports and historic sites across the Northern Lakes and Pennines.

The lodge is a detached three-bedroom property on ground level, arranged as one open-plan living space with a kitchen that includes electric oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge-freezer for cooking at home. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite shower; the second holds two single beds; the third has a bunk bed suited to children. A second bathroom with bath and shower serves the rest of the property. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The kitchen also has a washing machine and tumble dryer for longer stays.

Decking with garden furniture extends from the main living area, and lawned gardens front and back offer space to sit outside. Private parking for three cars is on site. The property does not permit smoking. Four steps lead to the entrance, and the garden includes some slopes underfoot.
