Lama Lodge

Lama Lodge is a ground-floor lodge sleeping two, with everything needed for a self-catering stay already in place. The open-plan living space connects kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with French doors opening onto a private garden where you'll find outdoor furniture, a firepit and barbecue. A double bedroom and shower room complete the layout. The kitchen has an electric hob, microwave and fridge-freezer, so you can cook as much or as little as you like. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are all included; there's parking for up to five cars on site. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge.

Hawkshead village is within easy walking distance, with its shops, cafes and pubs, plus the Beatrix Potter Gallery. Esthwaite Water is also nearby for a walk or swim. The location works as a base for the wider South Lakes—Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness are all roughly half an hour away by car. There's plenty to do: walking and cycling through the fells, water sports on the lakes, historic properties like Wray Castle, and restaurants across a range of price points. The lodge is a no-smoking property.
