Haystacks is a semi-detached cottage built as part of a small cluster of holiday lets, positioned within walking distance of Bowness-on-Windermere. The development sits far enough back to feel quiet, yet close enough that the town centre and lake are reachable on foot in under 20 minutes. A pub lies within a mile, and there's dedicated parking for one car on site, though many guests find they can leave it behind for the duration.

The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs holds a combined living and dining space with a woodburner, and a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals—oven, hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Three bedrooms occupy the first floor: a double, a twin, and a single suitable for children. The bathroom has a bath with shower. Essentials like electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. No smoking throughout.

Bowness itself is the draw—independent shops, restaurants, the Beatrix Potter attraction, and lake steamers all cluster in the town. The surrounding fells and woodland make it a natural base for walking holidays. A shared garden with seating adjoins the cottage, and bike storage is available if you want to explore further afield.
